FOODS FOR EXERCISE

FOODS FOR EXERCISE...

Note: Cooked protein clogs tissues causing muscle tissues to 'puff up'. Readily available, usable form of protein is found in uncooked vegetables and fruit. On average, veggies have 27-30% protein and fruits aver 7-10% protein.

Consuming a liquid meal (smoothie) shortly after exercising is beneficial because the blood is rapidly circulating, clearing lactic acid and other waste from extremities and delivering nutrients. By eating a raw food diet, the amount of Recovery time is greatly reduced allowing for additional workouts which result in quicker 'results'.

BEE POLLEN - is an alkaline food. It is considered to be the most complete food in nature. It is a rich source of protein and contains all the essential amino acids and has an abundance of minerals. Bee pollen is an excellent food for strength building.

CELERY - provides organic sodium; combined with greens celery helps prevent and relieve muscle cramping.

COCONUT (Thai) - Coconut water from the Thai coconut is the closest substance to blood plasma. 55% of the blood is plasma. Consuming the water with greens (as in a green smoothie) is like giving the body a total blood transfusion!

FIG - Dissolves mucus in the body, cleaning the internal organs and systems.

GREENS - Such as kale, spinach, dandelion, sea vegetables etc. are high in minerals. To assimilate nutrients more efficiently best juiced or blended into a smoothie.

Dark leafy greens are a rich source of chlorophyll which is important to reduce lactic acid which is a distructive by-product of exercise.

NUTS and COCUNUT MEAT: - are a heavy food that provides you with fuel and calories for long intense workouts.

OLIVES (raw) - good sodium content, also a high mucus dissolver and high in minerals.

SEEDS

Hemp - contains a high level of complete protein and essential fatty acids instrumental in muscle tissue regeneration and fat metabolism.

Flax - reduces inflammation; promotes elimination; and raw plant fats (like nuts, coconut meat, avocado, and olives) lubricate the digestive tract, are easy to assimilate and provide protection to cell walls. Raw plant fats also help eliminate the bad fats from our system.

Pumpkin - one of the most important seeds for body building. Pumpkin seeds contain Myosin, the main protein that makes up almost all muscles in the body. Myosin also plays a role in muscular contraction.

Sesame - Sesame seeds are an easily absorbable high calcium source. More dietary calcium is needed in the diets of athletes or those in warm climates as it is excreted through sweating.

WATER

WATER - The body can not absorb salts or convert sugars to glycogen without water. Avoid foods that provoke a feeling of thirst. Most fruits and vegetables (raw) contain 70% or higher water content, in it's most purified form. By consuming more fruits and vegetables you are naturally getting a good source of water. Toxins and waste are more efficiently eliminated by consuming additional glasses of purified water before, during, and after a workout.
